Bringing songs to life through intriguing textures, experimental recording techniques and special attention to the sound of instruments.
The name striped originates from pieces of clothing with horizontal stripes as I felt that they capture the warm and
passionate but also chill and approachable vibe I associate with me as a producer.
I can't describe why this connection feels so right to me, it just is, just like the way music can have a very certain
indescribable feeling to it that does something to the human brain.
That's what I'm looking for in my process.
I thrive on working with bands and artists that are interested in exploring
the boundaries of conventional sound and are open to experimenting together
to find that rare and magical feeling within their music and style.
That feeling is closest for me while working with real instruments that are full of life
and hardware studio gear that I can physically interact with.
That's why I love recording in a studio as engineer just as much as producer.
With that same objective I also enjoy working on ambient soundscapes usually in combination with visual media.
This gives the opportunity for a mellow version of the feeling that lets me work much more on a subconscious level,
which I also find very interesting.
If any of my words and perspectives inspire you or makes you want to work with me feel free to reach out below.
A fascination for the little things is a gift given to the ones that keep their eyes open.
Ben Henneböle is a German producer, engineer, artist and sound designer based in North Rhine-Westphalia.
For the past six years he dedicated his time to finding and exploring sound and creating music in the process.
Nested in between the worlds of guitar heavy indie, experimental electronic pop and ambient soundscapes
he developed a personal production style that focusses on creating a certain feeling and vibe.
With a toolbox of hard- and software synthesizers, field recordings, effect units
and a special love for textures he strives to let the song come to life through building a world around it.
Feeling most comfortable in his hands-on workflow he has expertise in recording instruments
- both clean as well as beautifully deformed - and a love for the sound of vintage analog gear.
